First topic Stay at home doggy mum!

HELLO THERE!

I have decided it is time to get a little more “with the times” I have been doing my research and it is these days all about the blogging. Which leads me to the question “what is actual blogging?” I would love to tell you that I am now completely clued up on this topic and I know exactly what it entails. Erm maybe not!So I will do what anyone  would do ask google. (Seriously what did we do before Google?)

Answer: A blog is a frequently updated online personal journal or diary. It is a place to express yourself to the world. A place to share your thoughts and your passions. Really, it’s anything you want it to be.

So you beautiful people it appears that you will be getting a little insight to the crazy world inside my head. Hold on tight it is definitely going to be a bumpy ride.

My thought for today is: Can you be a stay at home doggy mum?

I realise quite how bizarre this question is but I can’t have children…thats a whole other in-depth blog that I will share once we have gotten to know each other better, but for now we shall state the facts and move on to my dilemma. Soooooo a lot of my friends have children and they are either stay at home mums or work part-time. I love being at home, I don’t mean sitting at home and watching the TV. I mean cleaning, making the beds, doing the gardening, Pottering man do I lurve to potter! I like to cook (when I have the time) which I don’t at the moment,  I work full-time in an office with some lovely people but I want to be a stay at home doggy mum. I have a rather rambunctious 2-year-old cocker spaniel called Scooby who I love to spend time with and he is basically my furry child. I also have an evil cat called Sulley who spends most of his time plotting me, my other half and the dogs demise. He could certainly do with a parent who is at home more 🙂

I have had the chat with “him indoors” and thankfully he thinks that actually this is a really good idea. In exchange he no longer has to share the chores they are my responsibility freeing him up to work at the career that is mucho important to him win win right? There is just the small dilemma of going down to one salary. The compromise is that I get a part-time job. Which is fine by me so the plan is get part time job, spend more time at home and on my photography = live happily ever after.

People always have a opinion on everything that we do, it is after all the lifetime of free will and free speech. I like to think that I am pretty open-minded, I think that a lot of women would say that I am being ungrateful to all the women who sacrificed literally themselves to get women the vote and to ensure that they are treated equally to men.  Then little old me comes along and says actually I would like to be a stay at home wife and keep house.  It’s something that I have mulled over for a long time and it’s different that is for sure but I feel that it is right for me and I guess at the end of the day that’s what matters, your family, your life, your decisions.

I am going to blog about my journey and how it works or doesn’t work. I am also going to be sharing how we save money. I am  going to be trying to do  more photography and generally be more creative – I spend a lot of time of pinterest and I hope too actually make some of the things I have pinned and share them with you

FYI: The Picture is of my  fur baby Scooby and my beautiful niece Sophie you can see why I want to stay at home.

Anyway before I go on rambling all night I am very excited to start this journey with you, I hope you enjoy the ride!
